Firewall idle connection timeout causing nodes to lose communication during low traffic times on Windows
Steps to configure the default idle connection timeout on Windows.
During low traffic intervals, a firewall configured with an idle connection timeout can close connections to local nodes and nodes in other data centers. The default idle connection timeout is usually 120 minutes.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\KeepAliveTimekey to the Registry with the following values:
- Type: REG_SZ
- Data: 300000 milliseconds (5 minutes)
