Solving provisioning problems
Troubleshooting tips for typical provisioning issues.
General troubleshooting steps
Basic troubleshooting for resolving provisioning errors include checking firewalls, logs, and prior installs.
Invalid repository credentials
Error messages encountered if using invalid credentials when installing DataStax Enterprise.
Timed out waiting for Cassandra to start
Check the Cassandra system log for timeout errors.
Removing all Cassandra or DataStax Enterprise files after failed provisioning
After a failed attempt to provision a node or a cluster, you must remove all traces of Cassandra or DataStax Enterprise packages from the affected nodes before retrying provisioning.
Agents cannot connect to opscenterd
Investigate and resolve the installed agent is unresponsive error.
OpsCenter cannot create a local cluster using a public IP address
Use a private IP address if you encounter difficulty creating a local cluster with a public IP address.
Unable to retrieve endpoint snitch
The endpoint snitch cannot be retrieved and OpsCenter reports the snitch as unknown.
