Managing payment methods

Update or delete your existing payment method.

Update the payment method you entered when creating a DataStax Astra database. Enter updated credit card information and associated billing details, or delete the existing payment method.

DataStax Astra supports one payment method for each organization.


  1. Open a browser, navigate to DataStax Astra, and log in.
  2. In the main taskbar, click your organization name, select Billing, then choose Manage Payment Method.
  3. Modify the payment method:

    Enter the updated credit card information and associated billing details. Click Update Payment Method to update the existing payment method.

    Delete payment method

    Click Delete Payment Method. In the confirmation window, click Delete Payment Method again to delete the payment method.

    CAUTION: If you do not enter a new payment method shortly after deleting the default one, your database will be subject to termination.
  4. If you deleted the payment method, add a new one to ensure that your database is not subject to termination.


Your payment method is updated. The credit card entered will be used for all billing going forward.
