Unparking databases

Unpark a database to place it into an active state and use the database again.

Unparking a parked database places the database into an active state so that you can begin using it again.

Procedure

  1. Open a browser, navigate to DataStax Astra for Apache Cassandra, and log in.
  2. Click Manage via DataStax to open DataStax Astra on Google Cloud.
  3. From the Databases page, under Actions, click the ellipsis for the database you want to unpark and select Unpark.
The Unpark Database window displays and indicates the estimated time required to unpark the database, including the estimated costs incurred when the database is active.
  4. To unpark the database, click Unpark Database.

The status of the database changes to Unparking until the database is unparked. The database status then changes to Active.

Results

The database is unparked and is in an active state until you park or terminate the database. The estimated costs per minute are updated to reflect an actively running database, plus storage costs from the selected Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider.
