Documentation for developers and administrators to configure, provision, and use DataStax Kubernetes Operator for Apache Cassandra®.

DataStax Kubernetes Operator for Apache Cassandra® (Cass Operator) automates the process of deploying and managing open-source Apache Cassandra® or DataStax Enterprise (DSE) in a Kubernetes cluster. Kubernetes is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Tip: In this guide, DataStax Kubernetes Operator for Apache Cassandra® is often referred to as Cass Operator or cass-operator.
Cass Operator is also packaged with K8ssandra (pronounced "Kate" + "Sandra") and deployed via Helm as part of a K8ssandra install. For information about that open-source project, see the k8ssandra.io site and the K8ssandra documentation.
Important: Starting in the 1.7.0 release (07-May-2021), the GitHub repo for Cass Operator moved from https://github.com/datastax/cass-operator to https://github.com/k8ssandra/cass-operator. Ongoing development of Cass Operator and subsequent releases have been migrated to the K8ssandra project.
