Getting Started

About this task

To help you get started, this topic describes the key features of DataStax Bulk Loader for Apache Cassandra® and its dsbulk command.

Prerequisites

Obtain the following information and resources:

  • Download and install DataStax Bulk Loader.

  • Create DataStax tables using a tool like CQLSH. The dsbulk commands load, unload, and count data, but do not create keyspaces or tables.

  • Unload data without a configuration file

  • Create a configuration file for use with loading or unloading
