To take advantage of DataStax Mission Control, an existing Kubernetes (k8s) cluster is required.
Installing DataStax Mission Control into your environment includes an upgrade to the installation on a Control Plane
Kubernetes cluster, and then, if required, on one or more Data Plane
Kubernetes clusters.
Choose one of the following installation options for the desired mode:

Install DataStax Mission Control onto an existing Kubernetes cluster in
Control Plane
mode. -
Install DataStax Mission Control onto an existing Kubernetes cluster in
Data Plane
mode.Installing a Data Plane requires a separate cluster that is already running in
Control Plane
mode.
