Mission Control installation overview

Before you install Mission Control, make sure that you understand the architecture and plan your deployment. The decisions you make during installation depend on your target topologies for downstream DataStax Enterprise (DSE), Hyper-Converged Database (HCD), or Apache Cassandra® clusters. To install Mission Control, follow these steps:

  1. Plan your Mission Control installation.

  2. Prepare your environment.

If you are starting with bare-metal or a Virtual Machine (VM), use the Mission Control Runtime Installer to spin up the required services.

To use your organization’s Kubernetes services (centralized or cloud-based), prepare your own Kubernetes cluster environment.

  3. Install and configure Mission Control using KOTS or Helm.

  4. Access the UI or CLI.
