Astra DB Serverless database regions and maintenance schedules

Astra DB Serverless supports multiple Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud (GCP), and Microsoft Azure regions. Availability, pricing, and supported database types vary by region.

When you create a database, choose a region geographically close to your users for lower latency. If you need availability in multiple regions, see Deploy a Astra DB Serverless database to multiple regions.

Databases are triple replicated across three availability zones (AZ) within each region.

Maintenance schedules

DataStax routinely performs maintenance on Astra DB Serverless in each region. The following maintenance schedules are intended to avoid peak business hours and provide operational predictability to ensure the highest levels of service and reliability.

Maintenance schedules are ordered by day of the week and time, starting from Monday at 12 AM (UTC).

To monitor regional maintenance events and subscribe to regional maintenance notifications, go to Astra Regional Maintenance Status.

If you don’t receive the notification emails, check your spam folder and make sure your allowed contacts include noreply@statuspage.io and noreply=statuspage.io@notifications.statuspage.io.
