Adding nodes to an existing cluster

Add Cassandra, Solr, Spark, or Hadoop nodes to a DataStax Enterprise cluster locally or in the cloud.

Follow these procedures to add Cassandra, Solr, Spark, or Hadoop nodes to a DataStax Enterprise cluster locally or in the cloud. After adding a node to a cluster, rebalancing the cluster is recommended.

Note: When adding a node to a cluster, only the following snitches are supported: SimpleSnitch, DseSimpleSnitch, RackInferringSnitch, and GossippingPropertyFileSnitch (local provisioning only). Forthcoming versions of OpsCenter will continue to provide more robust support for additional snitches. All snitches available in Cassandra are described in the Cassandra documentation.
