Description

The to() step is a step modulator, a helper step for another traversal step. Its main use is to designate the incoming vertex for an addE() step. Generally, a to() step is paired with a from() step.

Examples

// create a new user
//g.addV('person').property('personId', 26).property('name','Jim Walsh').property('gender', 'M')
// use a mid-traversal V() step to create a new edge between two people
g.V().has('person', 'name', 'Jim Walsh').as('jim').
    V().has('person', 'name', 'Sharon Smith').as('sharon').
    addE('knows').from('jim').to('sharon').property('since', 1980)
