Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) tools
You can use the ZDM tools for migrations between Apache Cassandra®-based clusters and for major DSE version upgrades. In situations where an in-place upgrade is risky or not supported, the ZDM tools are recommended.

Apache Cassandra driver compatibility
After a cluster upgrade, you might need to upgrade to a newer driver version, modify deprecated or removed syntax in your application code, and recompile your client application code.
