Upgrade the DataStax AMI

DataStax no longer hosts the DataStax ComboAMI. You can install DataStax Enterprise (DSE) in two ways:

  • Create your instances using an AMI for a supported platform and from a trusted source. Then you can use the the appropriate install method 6.8 | 5.1 for your platform.

  • Use the DSE OpsCenter Lifecycle Manager (LCM) to provision a DSE cluster for versions 5.1 and later:

    1. Create your instances using an AMI for a supported platform and from a trusted source.

    2. Use LCM to provision and configure your cluster.
