CQL tools

You can use a variety of tools to connect to a database and execute CQL commands:

  • Astra Portal is a web-based tool to manage your Astra DB databases and includes an embedded CQL shell for executing CQL commands.

  • CQL shell(cqlsh) is a command-line interface that lets you interact with a database using CQL commands.

  • Apache Cassandra drivers let applications execute CQL commands in multiple programming languages.

  • DataStax Studio lets you run CQL commands and visualize the results in self-documenting notebooks.

  • Mission Control is a tool to manage your database clusters and includes an embedded CQL shell for executing CQL commands.
