Plan for a cluster

A number of choices must be decided upon when planning a cluster. These choices include the following:

  • The size of the cluster to install based on

    • The number of datacenters.

    • The number of nodes per datacenters.

These decisions will then lead to choices for:

  • The size of nodes/types of cloud instances to use.

  • Disk capacity and performance.

The Planning Guide covers hardware selection, estimating disk capacity, anti-patterns, cluster testing, and more.
