Astra DB Serverless database regions and maintenance schedules

Astra DB Serverless supports multiple regions across Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Availability, pricing, and database types vary by region.

When you create a database, choose a region geographically close to your users for lower latency. If you need availability in multiple regions, see Configure multiple regions for a database.

Region availability

Regions with an asterisk (*) are restricted to approved customers based on credit consumption. To request access to a restricted region, contact your account representative.

DataStax adds new regions based on customer demand. If your preferred region isn’t listed here, contact your account representative or DataStax Support.

Astra DB Serverless maintenance schedule

DataStax schedules Astra DB Serverless maintenance for each region. This schedule avoids peak business hours, and it provides operational predictability to ensure the highest levels of service and reliability.

Maintenance schedules are ordered by day of the week and time, starting from Monday at 12 AM (UTC).
