nodetool settimeout
Where is the cassandra.yaml file?
The location of the cassandra.yaml file depends on the type of installation:
| Installation Type | Location |
|---|---|
Package installations + Installer-Services installations |
|
Tarball installations + Installer-No Services installations |
|
Temporarily sets the timeout for the given timeout type by overriding the corresponding setting in cassandra.yaml:
-
read-read_request_timeout_in_ms -
range-range_request_timeout_in_ms -
write-write_request_timeout_in_ms -
counterwrite-counter_write_request_timeout_in_ms -
cascontention-cas_contention_timeout_in_ms -
truncate-truncate_request_timeout_in_ms -
misc, such as generalrpc_timeout_in_ms
To persist the setting, change the cassandra.yaml setting.
To discover the current timeouts, use nodetool gettimeout.
