Run cleanup

Run the Cleanup option to remove unwanted data after adding a new node to the cluster.

For more information about manually running a cleanup, see the corresponding nodetool cleanup command.

  1. If OpsCenter role-based security is enabled, be sure that the Cleanup Node Operations permission is enabled for the appropriate user roles.

  2. In the OpsCenter navigation menu, click your cluster’s name, and then select Nodes.

  3. In the List view, select one or more nodes, and then click Cleanup.

    Nodes Cleanup option

The Cleanup option is also available from the Actions menu in the Node Details dialog.

  4. Select a keyspace, and then click Choose.

  5. If you didn’t select All keyspaces, you must select one or more tables.

  6. Confirm that you want to run the cleanup operation.

  7. Click Cleanup.

Messages appear in the header indicating when the cleanup has started and completed. Click the Show Details link to view the progress or outcome on the Activities page.
