Enabling distributed subrange repairs

About this task

Enable distributed subrange repairs for clusters that have out of memory issues due to large numbers of standard subrange repair tasks. The distributed subrange repair feature is available for OpsCenter versions 6.1.7 and later.

Procedure

  1. Locate the opscenterd.conf file. The location of this file depends on the type of installation:

    • Package installations: /etc/opscenter/opscenterd.conf

    • Tarball installations: install_location/conf/opscenterd.conf

  2. Open opscenterd.conf for editing.

  3. Set the following option in the [repair_service] section:

    [repair_service]
    enable_distributed_subrange_repair=True
  4. Restart opscenterd.

    Track the progress of distributed subrange repairs in the Repair Status panel.
